Hello, I’m Cydney.

And this is the story behind Midlife Nourished.

For nearly two decades, I've worked with people to create lives that are healthier, more intentional, and more deeply connected to what matters to them.

For most of my adult life, I’ve been curious about what helps us live well—how we relate to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world.

That curiosity has shaped nearly two decades of work in coaching, health and well-being, teaching, yoga, and education. Across all of it, I’ve seen that meaningful change rarely comes from having more information or simply trying harder. More often, it begins when we create enough space to pay attention—to our bodies, our values, what matters to us, and what may be asking to change.

Midlife brought those ideas home in a deeply personal way. It became a time of questioning, exploring, and reconsidering what I wanted the next chapter of my own life to look like.

Midlife Nourished grew from both my professional work and my own experience of midlife—from nearly twenty years of helping people navigate change, and from my own process of questioning, exploring, and learning to live with greater intention and attention to what nourishes me.

I believe a nourished life isn't found. It's cultivated.

My Path

My earliest work was rooted in environmental studies and education, where I became interested in the relationships between people, place, and the larger systems that shape how we live.

Over time, my work moved more directly toward people. I became a life coach, health and well-being coach, yoga teacher, and mentor to other coaches—supporting people through transitions, sustainable change, and the ongoing work of living with greater well-being and intention.

Across nearly two decades of coaching and teaching, I’ve become less interested in helping people do more of what they think they should be doing—and more interested in helping them create the conditions to reconnect with themselves, cultivate their well-being, and allow what comes next to emerge.

What I came to believe

We’re surrounded by ideas about what we should be doing to live well. What we often need is enough space to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and hear what we already know beneath the noise of everyday life.

That's what I think of as creating space.

Space to notice how we're feeling and how we're living. To pay attention to what supports our well-being and what doesn't. To become curious about what we want more of, what may need to change, and what is beginning to emerge.

When we create those conditions, greater clarity can emerge—along with more intentional choices about how we care for ourselves, how we live, and what we want to cultivate in the years ahead.

Midlife Nourished grew from this belief—and from my own experience of discovering just how transformative creating that space can be.

A little more about me.

Finding Awe

I'm happiest outside.

A few years ago, I took what I called a “midlife gap year”—traveling, hiking, camping, and spending extended time in the Southwest and Ecuador. I called it my Year of Finding Awe, and it changed how I think about well-being, possibility, and the importance of making room for experiences that bring us fully alive.

Yoga

Yoga has been part of my life since 1989.

What began as, and continues to be, a personal practice, became something I’ve taught and shared with others for more than 15 years. I continue to return to yoga, meditation, and breathwork as practices for grounding, inner connection, and creating space to hear myself more authentically.

Connection

Some of my closest relationships span decades.

I value the kind of relationships that grow through shared experience, honest conversation, laughter, and showing up for one another over time. I’m lucky to have a large family and lifelong friendships that are an important part of my life. I treasure a circle of women I met in graduate school more than 25 years ago—we still gather regularly for adventures, reflection, and time together.

Curiosity

I’ll probably always be learning something.

Books, travel, conversations, photography, new places, new ideas—I’m endlessly curious about people, the natural world, and what helps us live well. That curiosity continues to shape both my life and the work I bring to Midlife Nourished. Pictured are the journals I kept during my Finding Awe travels.
