Midlife Hydrated.
Sometimes the simplest things make a difference.
You hit that mid-afternoon slump. You're tired, a little foggy, maybe you have a slight headache or you're having trouble concentrating—and immediately think you need another cup of coffee or something to eat.
But sometimes, you might just need water.
Even mild dehydration can leave us feeling more tired or less alert, and thirst isn't always the first thing we notice. A busy day can pass surprisingly quickly before we realize we've barely had anything to drink.
A simple way to nourish yourself today:
Drink a glass of water.
Not because you need another wellness goal to track or a perfect number of ounces to achieve.
Just notice.
How much water have you had today? How does your body feel? What changes when you're consistently well hydrated?
Keep a glass beside you while you work. Fill a water bottle before heading out. Add lemon, cucumber, mint, or fruit if that makes water more appealing.
It's a very small act of paying attention to what your body needs.
And sometimes, nourishing ourselves really can be that simple.
