Awe interrupts our usual way of seeing.
A wide-open sky. Light moving across a landscape. Stars appearing after dark. A moment so beautiful or unexpected that, for just a second, we stop thinking about everything we need to do.
Nothing in our life has necessarily changed—and yet our perspective has.
Perhaps that's part of what nourishes us about awe. It pulls us out of the smallness of our everyday concerns and reminds us that there is more here to notice, experience, and be part of.
Sometimes creating space is as simple as looking up.
